Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lead Software Quality Engineer to join our dynamic test engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in driving our automation-first Quality Assurance (QA) strategy, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, robust, and performant software solutions. You will champion best practices in test automation and integrate quality throughout the entire software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:


Lead the strategy, design, and implementation of comprehensive test automation frameworks across various testing layers, including regression, integration, and performance.

Collaborate closely with product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to design detailed test plans that align with sprint stories and major feature releases.

Leverage and implement modern test automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or similar industry-leading technologies.

Define, implement, and enforce key performance indicators (KPIs) for application performance (e.g., Page Load Time < 1 second) to ensure optimal user experience.

Integrate robust QA checkpoints and automated tests into Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, promoting a 'shift-left' quality approach.

Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the team.


Required Skills and Qualifications:


Proven expertise in designing and executing comprehensive regression and performance testing strategies.

Strong understanding and practical experience with defining and monitoring KPIs, coupled with familiarity with observability tools (e.g., Application Insights, Grafana, Prometheus).

Proficiency in scripting or programming with at least one of the following languages: JavaScript, Python, or C#.

Solid understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and the software testing lifecycle.

Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
