We are seeking a highly skilled and detail‑oriented Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience in UI automation using Cypress with JavaScript/TypeScript and API testing with Postman. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality, performance, and accessibility of our web applications, while mentoring junior engineers and driving best practices in automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust UI automation frameworks using Cypress with JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Perform API testing using Postman or other automation tools, validating request/response flows, workflows, and error handling.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and UX designers to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best practices in testing and automation.
- Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience with Cypress + JavaScript/TypeScript for UI automation.
- Solid understanding of API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
- Proven expertise in writing end‑to‑end (E2E) test cases.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to follow coding standards with strong logical reasoning.
- Preferred to have
- Experience with other automation tools such as Playwright or WebdriverIO with JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and experience with Cypress cloud platforms for report analysis and maintenance.
- ISTQB or other relevant QA certifications (good to have).
