Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the ability to acquire new skills and techniques and apply them within assigned testing tasks
- Evaluate, document, and communicate test results including any defects found during the test execution
- Author, maintain, and execute functional test cases and test plans for complex stories
- Receive direction and coaching from more experienced engineers and mentor less experienced engineers
- Collaborate with other engineers on the team and across the technology organization
- Author, maintain, and execute automation tests for complex stories
- Participate in reviewing and providing feedback of test cases and test plans authored within the team
- Participate in cross-functional swarm-testing scenarios
- Provide high level estimates of QA activities at an epic level
- Able to recognize and adjust when a task is becoming a time-sink
- Help others see that quality is critical to the success of a project
- Maintain team focus moving towards the team sprint commitment
- Represent the team in cross-functional meetings
- Respectfully identifies potential "trouble spots" with other's ideas during discussions
Qualifications
- 8+ years’ experience in the following is required:
- Agile methodology
- Understanding of test methodologies (Functional, Automation, Regression, Performance, Load.
- Testing web-based applications
- Authoring test cases to cover newly developed features and functionality
- Documenting test result
- Communicating test results to appropriate team members and stakeholder
- Writing and maintaining test automation scripts (Cypress)Analysing performance test results
- Gherkin story format
- Confluence, Jira, GitHub, Office365, Slack, Xray, Zoom
