Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst (BA) with strong exposure to Business Intelligence within the Health Insurance domain. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, data teams, and technology partners to translate business requirements into actionable insights and data-driven solutions.
Exposure to Power BI and other BI/reporting tools is good to have but not mandatory. Candidates with strong analytical skills and deep understanding of health insurance business processes will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Stakeholder Management
Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, product teams, and data/technology teams.
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to Health Insurance processes such as:
Claims management
Policy administration
Underwriting
Provider/network management
Premium, billing, and renewals
Conduct requirement workshops, stakeholder interviews, and gap analysis sessions.
Prepare detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), and user stories.
Business Intelligence & Reporting Support
Support BI initiatives by translating business needs into data/reporting requirements.
Collaborate with BI developers and data engineers to ensure correct interpretation of requirements.
Validate dashboards, reports, and data outputs against business expectations.
Perform UAT planning, execution, and defect tracking for BI and reporting solutions.
Data Analysis & Insights
Analyze large and complex datasets to derive actionable business insights.
Define KPIs, metrics, and success criteria relevant to health insurance operations.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business definitions.
Documentation & Governance
Maintain comprehensive documentation for processes, metrics, reports, and dashboards.
Support data governance, standardization, and reporting best practices.
Ensure alignment with regulatory and compliance needs specific to the Health Insurance industry.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
6–7 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in Health Insurance or Healthcare domain.
Strong understanding of health insurance business workflows and terminology.
Proven experience in requirement gathering, analysis, and documentation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience working with cross-functional teams (business, IT, data teams).
